Winners of Wilmot Modified Championship for Greg Sevcik started Sevcik Motorsports and began drag racing in 1993, running bracket cars at Great Lakes dragway and other tracks in the midwest. Eventually moving to stock car racing in 2000. Matt Barnes drove the number 67B IMCA modified at Wilmot Raceway from 2000-2004, earning 1 feature win and many top tens. In 2005 Scott Kuxhouse took over as driver of the number 67 IMCA modified, always finishing in the top 5 and earning one feature win. After 2005, Greg Sevcik with the help of Read Sinclair focused on building engines and not fielding race cars. Read Sinclair, a former Trans Am Series racer and world of outlaws engine builder added many years of experience to Greg's engine building knowledge. Sevcik Motorsports builds engines for Scott Kuxhouse Racing who won the 2007, 2008 and 2009 Wilmot Raceway modified Championships. Scott is currently competing in the modified class in 2009 at Wilmot Raceway Oshkosh speedway. Our engines can also be found winning races in the midwest enduro series with cars driven by Phil Speciale, Art Speciale and Jason Lange. Phil Speciale will be moving to the Mid Am Stock Car Series in 2010 and will continue winning races with Sevcik Motorsports power. From high horsepower alcohol burning engines to a mild street engine for your muscle car we can do it. We are a small business in Des Plaines IL but can build you big horsepower.
